About the Role

The Data Architect will design and manage a modern cloud data infrastructure, serving as the primary Product Owner for the Microsoft Fabric platform. This role ensures data systems are scalable, governed, secure, and AI-ready while collaborating with ERP, CRM, and governance teams to align architecture with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap.
  • Design and implement architecture in Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouses, warehouses, and pipelines.
  • Lead the development of data models and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Manage Azure resources and oversee digital transformation from server to cloud.
  • Establish and enforce data architecture standards and documentation practices.
  • Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and cost management.
  • Ensure seamless data integration from ERP, CRM, and external sources.
  • Implement data governance policies in alignment with Microsoft Purview.
  • Enable data architecture to support AI agent development and Copilot experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide scalable data solutions.
  • Implement data protection, privacy, and role-based access controls.
  • Lead architecture-related projects, including budget and resource management.
  • Present reports on data usage, performance, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise data engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Azure data services.
  • Familiarity with data retention, auditability, and regulatory compliance such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Product Ownership.
  • Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
