About the Role

The Membership Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily club operations, including team management, driving membership sales, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales team and financial performance.
  • Drive all sales efforts, including new member sales, EFT, fitness packages, and supplements.
  • Set monthly, weekly, and daily sales goals.
  • Review daily and weekly sales numbers and club statistics to identify revenue gaps and modify sales execution.
  • Execute and coordinate sales promotions within the club.
  • Drive club efforts in achieving revenue goals in NMS, EFT, units, and ancillary revenue.
  • Attain department targets (e.g., EFT, NMS, Units, and PT attachment).
  • Schedule sales team members to meet member needs.
  • Ensure a high member service experience for all club members.
  • Proactively engage the club member base, greeting and interacting with members regularly.
  • Resolve member concerns and complaints professionally within club parameters.
  • Maintain a fully engaged and high-performing team aligned with company values and goals.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire membership consultants, ensuring proper staffing levels.
  • Train and coach membership consultants, including assisting with planning sessions and performance reviews.
  • Lead membership meetings to review performance and provide direction, motivation, and guidance.
  • Implement, supervise, and direct regular training on sales SOPs and company policies.
  • Create and conduct membership team-building activities and participate in recognition programs.
  • Ensure accurate adherence to systems procedures.
  • Conduct daily reviews of new member agreements with the sales team.
  • Utilize club systems for selection, interviewing, and hiring qualified team members (with GM approval).
  • Train and develop membership consultants according to SOPs and objectives, emphasizing EFT setup, NMS, units, and member retention.
  • Conduct weekly (or as-needed) meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer guidance.
  • Offer career growth and advancement opportunities.
  • Counsel consultants under the guidance of the GM and consult with the corporate office for additional direction.

  • Responsible for scheduling sales team members to meet member needs
  • Ensure that all club members are delivered a high member service experience
  • Proactively engage club member base, regularly greet and interact with members
  • Resolve member concerns and complaints in a professional manner within club parameters, as assigned by GM
  • Maintain a fully engaged and high performing team that aligns with company values and goals
  • Recruit, interview & hire membership consultants and ensure proper levels of team member staffing
  • Train and coach MC’s, including assisting in conducting planning sessions and performance reviews
  • Lead membership meetings to review performance and offer direction, motivation and guidance toward achieving individual and company goals
  • Implement, supervise and direct regular training to ensure all consultants are trained in sales SOPs, and other company policies
  • Create and conduct membership team building activities including participation in recognition programs
