About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. Tax Associate I to join our Tax Team, providing tax compliance services to high-net-worth clients. This role offers a great work/life balance, a fun and supportive environment, and the chance to work directly with a wide variety of clients, without the headaches of billable hours or business development requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts and businesses
- Create quarterly estimates and projections
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients on all matters related to income tax return delivery
- Perform tax research
- Respond timely and accurately to tax questions, estimates, projections, and analysis with both tax and wealth management clients
- Coordinate with tax support staff to ensure timely workflow practices and data integrity
- Respond to tax notices and assist with initial preparation of correspondence
- Stay up to date on tax law and any changes, and communicate the effects of law changes to clients
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of public accounting experience, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Moderate tax code knowledge and general accounting skills
- Highly organized and tax-oriented
- Ability to handle a large volume of activities at one time
- Ability to communicate concepts to clients and advisors in concise and understandable fashion
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent time-management skills
- Availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM, and Saturdays as needed during tax season
- May require early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines
