About the Role

Join our Product & Technology team as a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) on the Omni Channel Product Team. You will build commercial customer and field-facing products end-to-end, from clarifying intent with Product and Design to shipping across the stack and owning quality through release and production. You will also write and review high-quality code, and shape our engineering practices in testing, observability, and security, leveraging AI-assisted development with strong engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Own features from discovery through production, partnering with Product and Design to refine requirements, identify questions, and propose solutions.
  • Implement full-stack solutions using NestJS, Node.js, Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL for scalable web applications.
  • Design and maintain robust RESTful APIs and clear contracts between front end and back end.
  • Integrate with and debug systems including AWS, authentication providers, feature flags, and Salesforce-backed workflows.
  • Utilize feature flags and staged rollouts for safe production releases and learning.
  • Build and maintain tests and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) for team-owned quality.
  • Use observability tools like Datadog to monitor production behavior, troubleshoot issues, and enhance reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership through design notes, code reviews, peer mentoring, and upholding craft standards.
  • Adhere to security and compliance practices for customer-facing and multi-brand platforms.
  • Write clear documentation and tickets to facilitate future development.
  • Continuously improve coding standards, testing strategies, and performance, integrating AI coding tools judiciously.
  • Explore emerging web and platform practices and introduce practical ideas to the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack experience shipping production web products with ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong TypeScript/modern JavaScript skills across UI and API development.
  • Hands-on depth with Next.js, React, and Node.js; NestJS experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills including modeling, querying, and database integration.
  • Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, comfortable working across service and UI boundaries.
  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions), automated tests, and Git-based workflows.
  • Practical experience with Docker/containerized delivery and AWS (or similar cloud).
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Datadog) and a bias for evidence-based production issue diagnosis.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for collaboration with Product, Design, and other engineers.
  • Comfort working in an Agile product team environment, including grooming and spikes.
  • Product engineer instincts with a focus on user/business outcomes, tradeoffs, and rollout risk.
  • Independent engineering judgment, using AI tools for acceleration rather than as a primary resource.
  • Commitment to mentorship and code review quality, elevating peers' work through clear feedback and shared standards.
