About the Role
Splish, splash FIDO needs a bath. Are you up for wet wagging tails and flying suds? Are you interested in learning to become a Groomer? Join our pack and attend our free Paragon School of Pet Grooming!
Responsibilities
- Encourage a bulldog to “gimme the shake!” and celebrate the resulting shower
- Attend free, paid training through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming
- Get comfortable with all tools and grooming equipment
- Learn how to bathe and style dogs to breed standards
- Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails
- Learn and demonstrate all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program
- Ensure the wellness and safety of furry patrons
- Develop long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services
- Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting
- Complete Safety Training certification
- Assist store team members during grooming downtime
Requirements
- Experience in retail or other industry working with pets is not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to review videos and take tests online
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test
- Must be at least 18 years old
