About the Role
Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned banking products within the commercial product portfolio. Develop and execute product strategy and roadmap, leading product innovations from concept to profitable products aligned with bank objectives. Lead a team of Product Analysts through the entire product development process, from concept to maintenance and improvement. Conduct market research to monitor trends, develop reports, and provide recommendations on product suite and pricing strategy to ensure healthy profit margins and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned banking products within the Bank's commercial product portfolio.
- Assist with developing and executing the Bank's Product strategy and roadmap in conjunction with business partners.
- Provide hands-on, product-level leadership to realize concepts and potential key innovations into tangible, profitable products aligned with the Bank's objectives.
- Lead a team of Product Analysts to perform or coordinate work from product concept and business case analysis to technical development and introduction, through ongoing maintenance and improvement.
- Complete market research to monitor trends, develop reports for key stakeholders, and provide recommendations on product suite and pricing strategy to deliver a healthy profit margin and revenue growth.
- Partner with Product Management leadership to execute the Bank's strategic plan, focusing on leading efforts to develop and operate profitable banking products.
- Meet product development objectives, manage product health, and ensure responsiveness to market dynamics.
- Support the product lifecycle process and execute work within department standards for deliverables including business case development, business requirement gathering, product design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Lead the research, analysis, design, development, pricing, and implementation of new products, and modification and enhancements to existing products.
- Ensure the product suite's success by managing product health and effectiveness, proactively addressing obstacles to product development, product adoption, deteriorating product performance, competitive analysis, and complications in service delivery.
- Assist management in identifying, assessing, and implementing risk control procedures for assigned products and channels.
- Foster strong working relationships with senior leaders in partner departments (Lending, Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, IT, other internal support departments, and third-party services).
- Facilitate team's contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.
- Lead and develop a team, responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience in Product Management, Treasury Management Sales or similar field.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Occasional travel required.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of general financial services or banking products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Advanced knowledge of banking products, including treasury management, credit cards, as well as pricing dynamics.
- Market specific awareness.
- Advanced experience with Product Management Methodology including new product launches, road mapping, business cases, product enhancements, communication and marketing plans, and robust executive management presentations and reporting development.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
