About the Role
This Associate Director role combines end-to-end implementation ownership with deep derivatives domain expertise. You will lead client onboardings onto Derivative Edge, manage multiple concurrent project engagements, mentor junior analysts, and serve as a trusted advisor to bank clients navigating complex derivative portfolio migrations. The role requires equal command of project delivery, data analysis, and capital markets subject matter expertise.
Responsibilities
- Own full project delivery for assigned client implementations from SOW execution through go-live and transition to Client Success.
- Lead all implementation activities: requirements gathering, solution design, interface and system builds, testing cycles, client training, and final deployment.
- Integrate client derivative portfolios and business processes into Derivative Path platforms; support configurations and ensure quality of all deliverables, including process documentation and UAT scripts.
- Create and maintain project workplans, milestone tracking, risk logs, status reporting, change management documentation, and engagement economics.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities while maintaining delivery quality.
- Apply working knowledge of the Software Implementation Lifecycle from Pre-Sales through transition to Client Success.
- Proficient use of project management tools such as GuideCX, file-sharing platforms, and RAID log frameworks.
- Establish and manage client expectations; develop lasting relationships that enhance the overall client experience.
- Collaborate with the Client Success team on analysis and resolution of client inquiries related to derivatives trading, EDGE platform usage, and client business processes.
- Provide pre-, during-, and post-implementation support; develop knowledge base documentation related to Derivative Path platforms and procedures.
- Apply knowledge of financial derivative structures — Vanilla, Amortizing, Embedded, and Structured Swaps, Cap/Floor, and Swaptions — across Interest Rate, FX, and Commodity asset classes, encompassing Front, Middle, and Back Office processing and reporting.
- Understand data structures, file formats, and mapping conventions used in trade capture, portfolio migration, and regulatory reporting (CSV, XML, pipe-delimited, fixed-width).
- Demonstrate working knowledge of integrated systems architecture, including how platforms connect and exchange data across SFTP, API, and batch-based interfaces.
- Distinguish between static/reference data (counterparties, entities, legal hierarchies, product configurations) and transactional data (trade economics, cash flows, valuations), and understand how each must be structured and maintained throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Apply knowledge of payment processing workflows — ACH/NACHA, wire transfers, and netting — including how payment instructions are generated, transmitted, and reconciled across banking systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in derivative capture, payment processing, TMS implementation, or comparable capital markets technology.
- 3+ years of active project management experience with software solutions in Finance or Treasury markets.
- Background in finance and accounting, ideally with emphasis on capital markets.
- Proficiency in data analysis and productivity tools, including Excel.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Experience with SaaS implementation methodologies for financial services clients.
- Familiarity with hedge accounting standards (ASC 815/820, IFRS 13).
- Experience with SFTP, ACH/NACHA, and enterprise email relay infrastructure in a bank client context.
