About the Role
This role involves monitoring and reporting on NYISO stakeholder meetings, providing market analysis, and supporting consulting projects related to energy market design. The position requires a blend of independent research, client engagement, and strategic communication to help clients navigate deregulated energy markets.
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in NYISO stakeholder meetings
- Write succinct reports and analysis on meeting developments for internal and external clients
- Tailor reporting and analysis to client commercial interests and perspectives
- Identify and define issues relevant to client commercial interests
- Recommend courses of action based on client needs
- Provide real-time reporting on developments with significant commercial impacts
- Manage client relationships through timely communication and regular conference calls
- Support consulting projects related to existing and emerging market designs
- Engage in business development activities
Requirements
- Minimum five years of energy industry experience
- Relevant college degree
- Knowledge of wholesale energy markets including resource planning, transmission, and generation interconnection
- Strong writing skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to travel for meetings and industry conferences
