About the Role
This role involves assisting in the performance of operating, maintenance, and construction work on gas service lines, mains, and related equipment under direct supervision. The position may also involve performing duties of lower-rated employees or other related tasks as required.
Responsibilities
- Assist Line Maintenance Man A in operating, maintenance, and construction work on gas service lines, gas mains, and other system equipment.
- Perform duties of lower-rated gas department employees or other related or less skilled work as required.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a Laborer or Meter Reader with semi-skilled abilities.
- Ability to perform routine operations of moderate complexity and variety based on detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with Company's Safety Rules and approved methods of resuscitation.
- Ability to render practical First Aid.
- Ability to qualify for a CDL Class A license.
- Normal health, physique, and use of senses, including color perception, as verified by a physical examination.
- Strength adequate for arduous labor in all outdoor weather conditions.
- Willingness to work irregular and/or extra hours as required.
