About the Role

This role is responsible for advanced evaluation, troubleshooting, and component-level diagnosis of returned product and manufacturing fallout. The Electronics Technician acts as a technical escalation resource, supporting process control, corrective action, and continual improvement to enhance product quality, yield, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced component-level troubleshooting of returned products and in-process manufacturing failures, including display boards, power supplies, network cards, and control boards using SMT and thru-hole technologies.
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and controlled manufacturing documents.
  • Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause related to design, materials, assembly, or test processes.
  • Ensure all evaluations, repairs, and findings are accurately documented and traceable per ISO 9001.
  • Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address nonconforming product.
  • Analyze defect data to identify trends and systemic risks.
  • Develop and maintain controlled troubleshooting procedures.
  • Support control of nonconforming outputs.
  • Participate in corrective action and verification of effectiveness.
  • Maintain objective evidence for audits and reviews.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and drive continual improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Component-level diagnostics and schematic expertise.
  • Advanced PCB troubleshooting (multilayer, SMT).
  • Analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Precision soldering and rework.
  • Cross-functional work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Clear communication of technical findings.
