About the Role
Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking energetic and versatile Structured Recess & After-School Fitness Instructors to foster physical literacy, teamwork, and positive social growth in students. You will lead engaging activities during recess and structured fitness sessions after school, creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead diverse environments, pivoting between facilitating recess and directing after-school fitness sessions.
- Organize and lead a variety of activities, including 'game of the day' and curriculum-based fitness routines.
- Promote positive development by encouraging safe, healthy habits and conflict resolution.
- Inspire engagement by actively involving diverse groups of students.
- Deliver professional-grade physical education lessons across multiple grade levels.
Requirements
- Passion for playing games and leading activities with children, with the ability to model positive behavior.
- Prior experience in a school setting as an instructor or teacher's aide (PE instruction or sports coaching experience preferred).
- Ability to work with students in grades K-8.
- Ability to manage and engage larger groups of students (20+).
- Reliable transportation.
- Must possess a current, government-issued photo identification.
- Criminal background check required.
