About the Role
This role leads Interac's account management for the commercial and public sector, focusing on retaining, expanding, and deepening relationships with existing enterprise and government clients. You will lead a team of Account Managers and be accountable for key performance metrics including net revenue retention, expansion ARR, renewal rates, and Client Satisfaction (CSAT).
Responsibilities
- Lead the team accountable for the post-sale commercial relationship for the commercial and public sector client base, driving retention, renewal, and expansion.
- Set and hold the team accountable to KPIs across CSAT, renewals, upsell ARR, and expansion pipeline.
- Build structured account management motions, including executive relationship cadences, QBRs, health scoring, and proactive risk identification.
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base to expand wallet share across the Interac product suite.
- Partner closely with the BD Sales Leader to ensure smooth handoffs from new logo close to onboarding and align on account expansion strategy.
- Serve as executive sponsor for strategic accounts, engaging at the C-suite and senior government level.
- Partner with Product and Solutions teams to surface client feedback, influence the roadmap, and ensure clients are fully utilizing contracted capabilities.
- Coach and develop a high-performing Account Management team through rigorous account reviews, renewal strategy sessions, and performance management.
- Upskill the team across core account management competencies, including executive relationship development, value realization storytelling, expansion selling, MEDDPICC application, and positioning as a Trusted Advisor.
Requirements
- Proven track record leading an account management team, consistently delivering against Revenue, renewal, and expansion targets across a complex enterprise and/or government client base.
- Experience managing government and/or commercial enterprise accounts in Canada, understanding multi-year contracts, procurement cycles, and institutional relationship management.
- Strong commercial instinct to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and coach the team.
- Deep familiarity with client success and account management frameworks (health scoring, QBR design, escalation management, churn prevention).
- Hands-on experience with renewal negotiation, pricing conversations, and contract restructuring.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Player-coach instinct, effective in building client relationships at the executive level and developing team skills.
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada on a full-time basis.
- Successful completion of background checks, including Canadian Criminal Credit Check, Canadian ID Cross-Check, Public Safety Verification, 5-year Employment Verification, Education Verification, Credit Check, and Social Media Check.
