About the Role

The Associate will manage all aspects of the due diligence process, partnering with prospective investors, CRMs, and stakeholders. This includes preparing diligence materials like RFPs and DDQs, coordinating client interactions, and developing expertise in infrastructure and energy products to guide investors through due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage due diligence deliverables, including DDQs, RFPs, RFIs, quantitative datasets, and IDD/ODD presentations.
  • Complete quarterly deliverables for consultants and update consultant databases.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations and investment professionals to respond to investor diligence requests.
  • Plan and oversee interactions between prospective investors and investment teams or subject matter experts.
  • Create initial due diligence materials prior to fund launch, such as DDQs, investor presentations, and PPMs.
  • Build a thorough understanding of the firm’s infrastructure and energy products, strategies, and operations.
  • Utilize firm tools and resources, including the RFP content database (Loopio), to respond to client requests.
  • Manage other client-facing materials and channels related to fund due diligence.
  • Update consultant databases and maintain marketing collateral during fundraising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business management, marketing, communications, or a relevant discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in private fund marketing, due diligence, client services, or other fundraising/client functions.
  • Experience in the infrastructure/energy sector is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with investment products and services, including a strong understanding of the infrastructure/energy asset class.
  • Experience in an institutional private fund marketing environment is highly desired.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Experience in a global environment working with stakeholders across numerous jurisdictions and time zones is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume processes and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good technical knowledge and familiarity with private funds generally.
  • Solid understanding of the LP mindset and needs when conducting due diligence.
  • Familiarity with distinct institutional client types (pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, family offices, etc.).
  • High attention to detail in written materials and quantitative data.
  • Strong understanding of due diligence processes.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills and exposure to working across multiple countries.
  • Ability to flex communication style to diverse geographies and investors.
  • Shares information with team members clearly and concisely.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in more challenging projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive regarding workload management and professional development.
  • Experience in relevant software tools or equivalents is a plus (Salesforce, Loopio, PowerBI, Mercatus, Seismic).
