About the Role

Shape the strategy and evolution of AI-enabled enterprise products that support professional learning and skills development for leading financial institutions worldwide. Lead the strategy and execution of CFA Institute's global B2B product portfolio, working across product, technology, and commercial teams to define the portfolio's long-term direction and ensure successful delivery of innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to shaping the multi-year IS portfolio strategy and roadmap, maintaining clear product architectures, prioritized backlogs, and structured investment decisions across content, assessment, AI, and enterprise technology.
  • Translate CFA Institute’s IP, credentialing standards, and curriculum into well-specified B2B products with documented requirements, user stories, and measurable acceptance criteria, in alignment with portfolio priorities.
  • Support the shift from bespoke delivery toward repeatable, configurable offerings, contributing to the product model and packaging logic that makes enterprise scale possible.
  • Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for the enabling technology platform, working with TAIS engineering to ensure the technology estate is scalable, fit for purpose, and aligned to portfolio priorities.
  • Implement and manage how AI is embedded across the portfolio, including LLM-powered assessment, adaptive learning, agentic workflows, and automation, ensuring each has clear technical rationale and measurable product outcomes.
  • Use AI-enabled prototyping tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make) to validate concepts quickly, before full engineering investment is committed.
  • Execute and participate in structured discovery mechanisms (i.e., advisory sessions, co-design workshops, beta programmes, and feedback loops) that keep client insight at the center of product and technology decisions.
  • Maintain a current, evidence-based view of the competitive landscape, L&D technology trends, and AI disruption across investment management and professional development.
  • Translate client and market signals into product and technology recommendations, escalating portfolio-level decisions to the Senior Director as appropriate.
  • Partner with Technology and Engineering to translate product strategy into executable delivery plans.
  • Work closely with Security, Data & Analytics, Digital Experience, and Education teams to align priorities, dependencies, and sequencing.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure outcomes meet strategic and operational needs.
  • Oversee business analyst work and potentially build and lead a small product team over time.
  • Support and develop business analysts; model strong product management practice and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer‑centric decision making.
  • Manage to an agreed budget, supporting the Senior Director in financial planning, vendor relationships, and resource decisions.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources while delivering high‑quality, timely outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 plus years of experience in product management, with exposure to enterprise or B2B technology environments.
  • Strong preference for experience in technology‑enabled or education‑focused organizations.
  • Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments, with practical experience managing backlogs, writing user stories, and working alongside engineering teams.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with engineering leads, account managers, client success teams, delivery managers, and programme managers.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic thinking and translate direction into clear, well-structured roadmap plans.
  • Clear communicator with the confidence to manage expectations, surface risks, and keep stakeholders appropriately informed.
  • Outstanding communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing requirements without losing pace.
  • CFA Institute cannot provide sponsorship.
