About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will provide assessment, consultation, and evidence-based interventions for pediatric clients in their homes and schools. You will collaborate with the client care team to promote independence and deliver high-quality, client-centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions following professional practice guidelines.
  • Develop client interventions based on assessments, client input, and integrated care plans.
  • Ensure services are evidence-based and evaluated using valid outcome measures.
  • Coordinate care through ongoing communication with the client care team.
  • Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
  • Support safe client care through continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Valid Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Skilled in caseload management.
  • Proficient in electronic documentation.
  • Able to provide virtual care.
  • Registered ADP authorizer (asset).
