About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will provide assessment, consultation, and evidence-based interventions for pediatric clients in their homes and schools. You will collaborate with the client care team to promote independence and deliver high-quality, client-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions following professional practice guidelines.
- Develop client interventions based on assessments, client input, and integrated care plans.
- Ensure services are evidence-based and evaluated using valid outcome measures.
- Coordinate care through ongoing communication with the client care team.
- Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
- Support safe client care through continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Valid Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Skilled in caseload management.
- Proficient in electronic documentation.
- Able to provide virtual care.
- Registered ADP authorizer (asset).
