About the Role

As a Day Program Coordinator, you will oversee all aspects of the daily operation of day programming, including programmatic observations, ensuring functional and age-appropriate programming, and conducting functional assessments to develop, implement, and monitor person-specific programming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of day programming and programmatic observations.
• Identify and analyze individual interests and abilities to conduct functional assessments.
• Develop, write, implement, and monitor person-specific programming, Individual Program plans, and Behavior Support plans.
• Identify programmatic trends and formulate corrective action plans.
• Handle crisis situations according to emergency procedures and policies.
• Provide protective oversight and advocacy.
• Complete incident reports per 624 regulations and SCIP-R reports.
• Conduct administrative and other investigations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policies on problem behavior and provide staff training.
• Supervise Program Manager and program staff, including hiring, training, and evaluation.
• Manage staffing to ensure fiscal integrity and safety oversight.
• Provide hands-on instruction to individuals served.
• Facilitate annual and semiannual meetings to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review ISPs to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure documentation supports daily units of service and complete accurate weekly billing.
• Monitor program census and attendance statistics to meet budgetary goals.
• Participate in new program initiatives, peer reviews, internal audits, and committees.
• Ensure parent/guardian consent for behavior support plans is obtained.
• Provide supervision for after-hours programs if assigned 24/7 on-call duties.
• Maintain required annual training and certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in OPWDD services.
• Knowledge of OPWDD Regulations.
• Ability to move/push heavy objects up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to lift/move/carry 20 lbs.
• Ability to run up to 500 feet.
• Ability to kneel, twist, and bend.
• Ability to respond to fire alarms.
• Ability to perform all physical SCIP techniques.
