About the Role

As an Account Executive on the Emerging Enterprise General Business team, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, focusing on net-new customer acquisition within companies of 1,000 to 2,000 employees. This role is dedicated to identifying, prioritizing, outreaching to, and closing new business in specific verticals like QSR, Health & Life Sciences, Travel & Hospitality, and Technology. You will act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, working with their Marketing, Product, and Technical executives to help them forge human connections with consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • Act as a relentless "hunter" focused on net-new customer acquisition.
  • Break into untapped logos within Braze's Emerging Enterprise segment.
  • Identify, prioritize, outreach to, and close new business.
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to prospective clients.
  • Work directly with Marketing, Product, and Technical executives and their teams.
  • Generate and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Drive desired outcomes through effective and persistent outreach.
  • Navigate large organizations, identifying key decision-makers and understanding their buying processes.
  • Mobilize distributed, global organizations to accelerate cycles.
  • Maintain forecasting accuracy and operational rigor.
  • Keep forecasts and opportunity details up to date.
  • Lead productive deal reviews.
  • Keep MEDDPICC scorecards updated regularly.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed on deal progress via Slack updates and/or internal notes documents.
  • Adapt quickly to new cloud applications and tools.
  • Lead and strategically manage internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute positively to the team and broader Braze culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience selling SaaS solutions to enterprise clients.
  • At least 5 years of overall industry experience.
  • Proven track record of breaking into new logos and driving deals across the finish line.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM or other CRM systems.
  • Comfortable learning new things and navigating high-change environments.

Salary/Compensations

  • For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $105,000 and $158,000/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $214,000 and $321,000/year (including bonus or commission).
