About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist on the Player Value Science team, you will drive advanced modeling and analytical approaches to influence high-stakes commercial and portfolio decisions. You will work autonomously to translate complex player behavior and product usage data into actionable strategies that inform investment and growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver advanced modeling approaches to quantify player value, incremental impact, and long-term platform value.
- Measure the incremental effect of launches, investments, and market events to isolate true business impact.
- Build optimization and scenario models to inform long-range planning and investment decisions.
- Own ambiguous problem spaces and translate complex business challenges into measurable solutions.
- Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Platform teams to ensure value-driving products are robust and adopted.
- Evaluate and select modeling approaches balancing rigor, performance, scalability, and business impact.
- Mentor other data scientists and contribute to team best practices.
- Communicate complex modeling outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
Requirements
- Proven industry experience delivering decision-grade analytical and modeling solutions.
- Experience with optimization or operations research approaches.
- Strong grounding in causal inference and impact measurement.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end from problem definition to business adoption.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets to build scalable solutions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with PySpark or equivalent distributed data processing tools.
- Strong quantitative background.
