About the Role
Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens, a faith-based, nonprofit facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care to residents. We are dedicated to creating a supportive environment where staff are valued and provided with the tools to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action immediately.
- Observe residents under treatment to identify progress and side-effects of medications.
- Monitor residents’ condition, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to residents as needed.
- Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
Requirements
- Current LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the State of New York.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting or a new graduate with the desire to learn.
- Knowledgeable of DOH/CMS regulations and Electronic Health Records preferred.

- $35.35 to $38.16 per hour
- Additional 10% for evening and night shifts
