About the Role

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment for fluid and powder material handling. This role involves forecasting, planning, and scheduling assigned products within a manufacturing environment to meet customer needs efficiently, while optimizing inventory and ensuring customer service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the flow of externally procured materials from supplier to factory for assigned products, ensuring inventory optimization and material flow.
  • Plan all purchased and manufactured parts using appropriate ordering methods (EOQ, min/max, fixed days, Kanban, MRP, etc.).
  • Ensure accurate planning parameters are set in planning systems (GAINS, Oracle).
  • Schedule manufacturing orders and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Provide work direction and prioritize schedules on the shop floor.
  • Communicate with customer service to align priorities and meet customer requirements.
  • Proactively inform management of manufacturing challenges and issues (capacity, machine downtime, resource fluctuations).
  • Manage assigned inventory to meet cell and company objectives.
  • Manage assigned product to meet customer service and inventory plans.
  • Proactively communicate supply shortages, delivery changes, or quality issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Ensure GAINS system is maintained and analyze all exceptions.
  • Use GAINS to create, adjust, and maintain product and component forecasts to drive the Oracle planning system, analyzing supply and demand.
  • Communicate with marketing to refine and improve data for accurate product forecasting.
  • Report on inventory and service levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred, or 4+ years of proven planning experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Registered and working towards APICS CPIM certification if Bachelor’s degree is not in Logistics and Supply Chain Planning field.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and lean manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Plan in place to enroll in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field and willing to complete Bachelor’s degree.
  • MRP/ERP system knowledge.
  • Competent PC skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Oracle Experience.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
