About the Role

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. The Global Facilities team plans, develops, constructs, and operates semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer, Instrumentation & Controls, you will provide engineering system ownership and technical support for critical facilities systems including Life Safety, Toxic Gas Monitoring, I&C, SCADA, IoT/Digitalization, Telecom, and Security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, construction, and operations of semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Manage large-scale projects, including U.S. Greenfield FABs, focusing on engineering innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Construction, O&M, and other teams.
  • Ensure facility systems are reliable, efficient, scalable, and aligned with Micron’s global standards and strategic objectives.
  • Implement guidelines and standard methodologies across global sites for construction, development, and operations.
  • Support advanced memory and storage production through robust infrastructure development.
  • Integrate sustainability principles into facility design and operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the full lifecycle of facility projects.
  • Benchmark within and external to Micron sites on Engineering Best Practices and Best Known Methods (BKM) of Facilities buildings and systems.

Requirements

  • Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years proven experience in Facility I&C/ELV design and engineering for Semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech industries.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 15-25% of the time, up to 30% during critical project phases.
  • Proven ability to plan, drive and complete projects effectively.
  • Proven skills in working effectively with team members from different subject areas.
