About the Role

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. The Global Facilities team plans, develops, constructs, and operates semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer, Instrumentation & Controls, you will provide engineering system ownership and technical support for critical facilities systems including Life Safety, Toxic Gas Monitoring, I&C, SCADA, IoT/Digitalization, Telecom, and Security systems.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, construction, and operations of semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure.
Manage large-scale projects, including U.S. Greenfield FABs, focusing on engineering innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Construction, O&M, and other teams.
Ensure facility systems are reliable, efficient, scalable, and aligned with Micron’s global standards and strategic objectives.
Implement guidelines and standard methodologies across global sites for construction, development, and operations.
Support advanced memory and storage production through robust infrastructure development.
Integrate sustainability principles into facility design and operations.
Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the full lifecycle of facility projects.
Benchmark within and external to Micron sites on Engineering Best Practices and Best Known Methods (BKM) of Facilities buildings and systems.

Requirements

Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7 years proven experience in Facility I&C/ELV design and engineering for Semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech industries.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 15-25% of the time, up to 30% during critical project phases.
Proven ability to plan, drive and complete projects effectively.
Proven skills in working effectively with team members from different subject areas.
