About the Role
The student worker will provide clerical and customer service support within the Financial Aid department, assisting students, parents, and staff with information, data collection, and operational tasks. This role requires independent judgment, analytical skills, and strong communication to explain financial aid policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Explain financial aid policies and procedures to students and the general public.
- Provide guidance in navigating various student aid applications.
- Respond to emails and assist students in person, via phone, and through Zoom appointments.
- Advise students on financial aid availability, eligibility requirements, application processes, and funding options.
Requirements
- Maintain good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
- Enrolled as a degree-seeking student with at least 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive service attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse students and coworkers.
- Submit a detailed resume, class schedule, proof of GPA, cover letter, and three references.
