About the Role
This role is crucial in ensuring that business operations run smoothly, allowing the company to focus on delivering innovative therapies to patients in need. You will manage and implement communications plans and organize activities that deepen colleague engagement and trust, accelerating site business performance and enhancing reputation.
Responsibilities
- Lead Pearl River Site Affairs projects, including planning meetings and events for senior leaders and the Site Leadership Team.
- Coordinate support functions for events and activities, such as catering, AV equipment, and communications.
- Manage the overall Pearl River site calendar of events.
- Develop and manage an integrated communications program across multiple channels for the Pearl River site.
- Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with site goals and messaging.
- Grow Pearl River’s internal social media channels.
- Liaise with digital, media, and R&D communications to identify opportunities to highlight Pearl River at the Corporate level.
- Provide metrics assessing reader interest in communications and identify ways to increase readership and engagement.
- Refine Pearl River’s SharePoint site and generate engaging content.
- Write and publish articles, executive leadership emails, videos, infographics, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Manage technical aspects of the Site’s SharePoint and emails.
- Inspire and sustain an active interest in STEM education among students.
- Lead programming for Interns and Rotational Associates on site at Pearl River.
- Advance STEM education to local schools by organizing colleague presentations and offering career exploration sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Communications, Program Management, and/or Operations.
- Experience working effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with colleagues at all organizational levels.
- Experience successfully managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working with highly sensitive, confidential material and information.
- Excellent keyboarding and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CoPilot.
- Flexibility to work beyond normal work hours when needed.
- Model Pfizer Values and Pfizer Core Competencies.
- Experience in the pharma, biotech sector, or life sciences (preferred).
- Knowledge of Pfizer organization processes and procedures (preferred).
- Proficiency in Gemini and/or other AI platforms (preferred).
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours when needed.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
