About the Role
Develop modern Java applications for the digitalization of the judiciary and public administration in Germany. Work on long-term, large-scale projects to create secure, high-impact software standards used by thousands of users.
Responsibilities
- Develop modern software solutions using current Java technologies in agile teams
- Design, implement, and document new software components following modern standards
- Maintain and evolve production applications for E-Government and the judiciary
- Develop interfaces and services using Spring, Hibernate, and REST
- Implement security requirements including certificates, electronic signatures, PKI, and encryption
- Utilize modern development and deployment processes with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and automated pipelines
- Collaborate closely with customers, partners, and interdisciplinary teams
- Support technical coordination and contribute to architecture and technology concepts
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification
- Practical experience in web application development using the Java stack
- Knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and REST architectures
- Experience with Angular or comparable frontend technologies
- Basic knowledge of Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Initial experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud
- Initial exposure to container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
- Knowledge of agile development methods
- Structured, analytical working style and high initiative
- Very good German language skills (at least C1)
