About the Role

Develop modern Java applications for the digitalization of the judiciary and public administration in Germany. Work on long-term, large-scale projects to create secure, high-impact software standards used by thousands of users.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern software solutions using current Java technologies in agile teams
• Design, implement, and document new software components following modern standards
• Maintain and evolve production applications for E-Government and the judiciary
• Develop interfaces and services using Spring, Hibernate, and REST
• Implement security requirements including certificates, electronic signatures, PKI, and encryption
• Utilize modern development and deployment processes with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and automated pipelines
• Collaborate closely with customers, partners, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support technical coordination and contribute to architecture and technology concepts

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification
• Practical experience in web application development using the Java stack
• Knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and REST architectures
• Experience with Angular or comparable frontend technologies
• Basic knowledge of Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Initial experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud
• Initial exposure to container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Knowledge of agile development methods
• Structured, analytical working style and high initiative
• Very good German language skills (at least C1)
• Good English language skills
