Responsibilities

  • Partner with life science customers to support their chromatography workflows through expert product knowledge, technical consultation, training, and application support.
  • Support successful product demonstrations, seminars, workshops, and customer training events in collaboration with Field Application Scientists and Marketing.
  • Generate new business and expand existing customer relationships for the AKTA portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to grow instrument, resin, column, and software sales by understanding customer processes and research objectives.
  • Achieve annual sales targets while maintaining accurate funnel management and forecasting within Salesforce.
  • Develop and execute territory and account growth plans, including opportunity generation, competitive strategy, and business development activities.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers, research leaders, and laboratory stakeholders.
  • Drive adoption of AKTA chromatography platforms for protein purification, process development, and related applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory, research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related scientific experience.
  • Strong understanding of protein purification, chromatography, or biologics research workflows preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to scientific audiences.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and funnel management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across sales, applications, service, and marketing teams.
  • 50% Travel within the assigned territory and occasional travel outside the territory.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Salary/Compensations

  • $110,000-125,000
  • Eligible for bonus/incentive pay
