About the Role
Seeking a motivated AI / Business Analytics Intern to support an exploratory AI initiative focused on improving Technology and Manufacturing workflows. This role is ideal for a student interested in applied AI, automation, and real-world workflow optimization. You will help translate business needs into practical AI use cases and contribute to early-stage solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and prototype an AI-assisted operational workflow.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand real business workflows and identify areas for improvement.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into testable AI use cases.
- Build a proof-of-concept or early-stage prototype focused on data extraction, workflow automation, and lightweight data structuring and insights.
- Document solution designs, assumptions, and findings throughout the project.
- Present results and recommendations at the end of the internship.
- Use Cirrus-approved AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Glean, and approved GPT-based tools in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with Python or a similar programming language.
- Basic understanding of automation workflows and data processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through open-ended problems.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or large language models.
- Experience with SAP, Spotfire, or AI-assisted coding tools.
- Candidates must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license.
- Unable to sponsor or obtain export licenses for this role.
