About the Role

Seeking individuals with strong knowledge of RF design and SW integration, experience leading teams, and familiarity with defense programs for CNS products. Must have experience in DAL A software development and working with defense customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams and ensure organization.
• Develop SW Requirements.
• Perform Code Review.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare Planning Documentation & Cert Doc.
• Develop Systems Documentation and perform systems testing.
• Maintain lab hardware/builds, ensure proper loading and configuration.
• Check calibration dates on equipment.
• Perform lab experience tasks.
• Conduct verification testing.
• Coordinate with customers and ensure customer process compliance.
• Perform audits.
• Troubleshoot issues.
• Interface with ISC/quality/shipping and receiving.
• Perform system integration.
• Engage in Frequency Approval efforts.
• Handle TSO deviations.
• Develop SSA, FHA, SRTM, and other system documentation.
• Manage MOPS.
• Interface with customers and the FAA.
• Understand safety principles.
• Manage aircraft interface/installation.

Requirements

• US Persons only.
• Experience working in defense programs for CNS (Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (TCAS/ACAS, Transponder, DME etc., products).
• DO 254 (exposure only).
• DO-178C.
• DO160G (EMI).
• Experience working in DAL A software development.
• Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
• Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
• Experience working with Defense Customers preferred.
• Flight test experience.
• Experience with engineering tools (montpa, x-scribe, managing and developing other tools to help).
• Experience with jira, bitbucket.
• Understanding of how build works/compiler settings.
• Systems engineer with a hardware focus.
• System test/hardware test experience.
• Test equipment knowledge.
• Understanding of the certification process.
