About the Role

Seeking individuals with experience in defense programs for Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS) products like TCAS/ACAS, Transponder, and DME.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize the RFIO SW Dev team.
  • Interface with HW and FPGA teams.
  • Perform SW Requirements Development.
  • Conduct Code Reviews.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare Planning Documentation & Cert Doc.
  • Gain exposure to DO 254.
  • Integrate RF design with software.
  • Support flight testing, including understanding wiring diagrams and aircraft system inputs.
  • Utilize engineering tools such as montpa and x-scribe.
  • Manage and develop tools to aid development processes.
  • Work with Jira and Bitbucket.
  • Understand build processes and compiler settings.

Requirements

  • US Persons only.
  • Experience with defense programs for CNS products (TCAS/ACAS, Transponder, DME etc.).
  • Experience with DO-178C.
  • Experience with DO-160G (EMI).
  • Experience working in DAL A software development.
  • Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
  • Experience with various application areas supporting Avionics functions, Navigation and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT).
  • Experience working with Defense Customers preferred.
