About the Role
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve cost structure, product quality, and supply chain reliability. Support innovation through new product development and manage third-party production products and vendors. Own SKU ideation, onboarding, vendor selection, price negotiations, contract management, capacity planning, and budgetary planning while continuously improving sourcing operations. Drive the strategy and framework for supplier interactions and impact profitability.
Responsibilities
- Execute defined sourcing strategies aligned with company growth, innovation, and financial targets.
- Optimize the third-party manufacturing and supplier network, identifying and mitigating operational capability gaps.
- Manage supplier segmentations and performance frameworks to improve quality, service, and cost.
- Partner with Product, Culinary, Operations, and Commercial teams to leverage supplier and manufacturing capabilities for new concepts.
- Own the strategic sourcing process for new product development from concept to commercialization.
- Balance customer experience, operational complexity, and profitability when onboarding new SKUs and suppliers.
- Manage sourcing contributions to annual business planning and financial targets.
- Implement cost optimization initiatives and execute supplier negotiations to improve margins.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract management for mid to high value agreements.
- Execute proactive risk management and supply continuity strategies for suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Hold suppliers accountable through performance metrics, service level agreements, and corrective action programs.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day operational, quality, and supply conflicts.
- Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes, supplier onboarding, and category management.
- Leverage data and analytics to build data-driven solutions and inform strategic decision making.
- Manage the scope, timeline, and execution of short- and long-term strategic sourcing projects autonomously.
- Connect daily sourcing decisions and negotiations to broader department strategies and corporate objectives.
- Manage uncertainty independently by developing actionable solutions to complex problems.
- Manage interactions with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Finance, Legal, and FSQA.
- Influence project outcomes and decisions without direct authority.
- Act as a recognized subject matter expert within your respective category.
- Proactively take ownership of career path and dedicate time to mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Critically challenge the outcome of other team members' work and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, or procurement, ideally within the food or third-party manufacturing industry, or equivalent experience in operations strategy-focused management consulting.
- Track record of successfully leading large initiatives and sourcing events through strategic sourcing processes.
- Experience with high value contract negotiations.
- Flexibility to travel as needed (up to 20%).

Salary/Compensations
- $102,000—$138,000 USD (New York)
- $95,000—$129,000 USD (Colorado)
