About the Role
Excel Sports Management is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, with a primary focus on brand marketing roles within creative, experiential, and digital agency spaces, as well as analytics, hospitality, and traditional brand marketing. This role is based in Excel's New York offices.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with hiring managers to devise and execute recruitment strategy.
- Conduct initial intake calls with hiring managers to facilitate necessary paperwork and prepare job descriptions.
- Route role requests through the proper approval process.
- Post jobs in the applicant tracking system, job boards, LinkedIn, and the Excel Website.
- Share open roles with diversity and inclusion focused partners and networks.
- Assist with preparing weekly recruiting trackers for distribution.
- Review resumes, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and collect feedback.
- Maintain candidate communication throughout the interview process to ensure a positive experience.
- Utilize professional networks and industry contacts to source talent.
- Manage salary negotiations and benefit discussions with finalists, and create offer paperwork.
- Conduct reference and background checks.
- Maintain strong relationships with candidates and employee referrals to build a qualified professional pipeline.
- Contribute to overall talent strategy, including brand promotion, strategic planning, and social media content creation.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Excel.
- Participate in recruitment events and career fairs.
- Prepare recruitment and new hire analytic reports, tracking metrics and providing insights.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative outreach programs using diversity and inclusion best practices.
- Create and provide training on best interview practices to hiring managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience required.
- Experience working with creative, strategy, digital, and production teams within an agency environment or on the brand side preferred.
- Previous use of an ATS system preferred.
- Must be a problem solver able to navigate new projects and assignments.
- Must be able to exercise persuasion and influence in complex and sensitive situations.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in decision making.
- Must have knowledge of state and federal laws and compliance matters.
- Must be able to act as an ambassador of Excel.
- Must have knowledge of recruiting trends and best practices.
- Must be able to build relationships, genuine connections, and trust.
- Must be proactive and possess strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Must have a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Must have a client-first mentality and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal, written, text).
