About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining the hotel's safety and functionality, responding to guest requests, and proactively addressing maintenance needs to ensure a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and attend to guest repair requests, communicating with guests to resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Inspect facilities daily to assess physical and safety conditions, identifying and addressing hazards, broken equipment, and areas needing repair or renovation.
- Assist guests with room access.
- Notify appropriate authorities and management in emergency situations.
- Handle guest and associate conflicts or disturbances.
- Complete incident reports with detailed information.
- Gather evidence and conduct interviews during investigations.
- Secure property entrances as required.
- Complete shift summary reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of security and property reports.
- Maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and fixtures.
- Respond courteously and promptly to guest maintenance requests, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain order within the hotel and assist with guest welfare and door lock issues.
- Coordinate response to emergency conditions calmly and effectively.
- Address policy violations for the security and safety of guests, associates, and property.
- Monitor for suspicious individuals on the property.
- Conduct walk-through observations of the entire hotel.
- Demonstrate knowledge of building systems, emergency response, and blueprints/schematics.
- Apply working knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and general building management.
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering duties.
- Assist with surface preparation, painting, drywall repair, trim repair, light bulb and filter replacement, and clean-up.
- Adhere to company and department safety and security policies, including safe tool operation, Hazardous Material Management, Lockout/Tag-out procedures, and proper lifting techniques.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
