About the Role

This role involves performing a variety of industrial maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, and pipefitting work, while adhering to strict safety protocols and potentially working overtime and being on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Twin Rivers Paper safety rules and specific safety rules associated with various tasks.
  • Use all required safety equipment and complete any training, including electrical training, per OSHA standards.
  • Perform work during Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with a ½ hour lunch.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Be available for emergency call-ins 24 hours a day 7 days per week and work shifts when needed.
  • Participate in a rotation schedule for weekend call-in coverage if implemented.
  • Perform work involving considerable stooping, bending, and working on scaffolds.
  • Perform work requiring climbing and working at various heights.
  • Responsible for clean-up of work area(s) at the end of each day.
  • Notify supervisor of any potentially dangerous situations.
  • Document all corrective actions taken.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Travel to other TRP mills in NY State and Little Falls Office.
  • Further education through training and seminars.

Requirements

  • Have an Associate’s degree in a related field or experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades.
  • Have experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades for a minimum of two years.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Have strong mathematical skills.
  • Have strong decision-making skills.
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Lock out Tag out procedures.
  • Be familiar with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) standards.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
