About the Role
The Food Production Teammate works in various food preparation, service, and cleaning roles under supervision. This role is crucial for providing essential services that positively impact campus life and the college community.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of all foods, including meats, fish, fruits, and vegetables, using standardized recipes.
- Serves food products to customers with a positive attitude.
- Performs cashiering duties, including collecting cash and handling meal cards.
- Operates all kitchen and line equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, dining room, kitchen, and equipment.
- Washes pots and pans, operates the dish machine, and performs cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Cleans tables, raises and lowers chairs.
- Puts away stock (groceries).
- Interacts with student employees in a positive manner.
- Assists with refuse removal.
- Performs any reasonable requests asked of them.
- Completes other duties as assigned to reach individual and organizational goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and lift heavy objects.
