About the Role
This role exists to partner with Fluidstack's operations departments on people and performance matters, focusing on nurturing, coaching, and developing colleagues to ensure they perform to the best of their ability in healthy, scalable ways. The practice is grounded in employee advocacy and holistic solutions, defaulting to a growth mindset to build strong, open, and trusting relationships. This is not an HR compliance role, but sits at the intersection of people and performance, helping managers manage better by working alongside them.
Responsibilities
- Complete onboarding and immerse yourself in the operations departments.
- Build trust-based relationships with managers.
- Map the current state of people practices across departments.
- Identify key areas for manager support.
- Begin active coaching with managers on performance conversations, feedback delivery, and team-level decision-making.
- Partner with the People team to roll out new systems within departments.
- Surface department-level people risks to the broader People team.
- Establish a regular check-in rhythm with department leadership.
- Ensure managers feel meaningfully supported in people decisions.
- Develop a clear picture of people health across the coverage area.
- Help People systems land well in operations departments, ensuring adoption.
Requirements
- Partnered closely with managers before, influencing how leaders manage their people.
- Understand how infrastructure and operations teams work.
- Can hold both accountability and empathy simultaneously.
- Do not shy away from hard conversations, and deliver them with care.
- Read team dynamics well and identify patterns before they become crises.
- Demonstrated experience in an HRBP, People Partner, or similar embedded role supporting go-to-market or operations teams.
- Experience influencing manager behavior and improving team outcomes in business-facing teams.

Salary/Compensations
- $195,000 - $315,000 per year
- Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity)
- Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
