About the Role

As Fluidstack scales its GPU cluster footprint, this role will serve as the primary interface between our infrastructure projects and the surrounding communities, governments, and civic institutions. You will build trust, sustain it through construction and operations, and turn stakeholders into advocates. This function sits at the intersection of public affairs, economic development, and communications, and you will build it from scratch. This is a high-leverage role with direct exposure to Fluidstack's leadership.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary face of Fluidstack in data center communities, attending town halls, public hearings, planning commission meetings, and community events.
Represent Fluidstack's interests at external forums.
Build and maintain relationships across a broad stakeholder matrix including elected officials, city/county staff, utility partners, school districts, workforce development organizations, nonprofits, trade associations, and community members.
Proactively identify and neutralize opposition before it organizes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to surface reputational, regulatory, and political risk before capital is committed.
Coordinate and deploy community benefit commitments (local hiring, workforce programs, educational partnerships, grants).
Develop communications materials that translate complex infrastructure realities into clear narratives for community, government, and executive audiences.
Manage external partners including lobbyists, consultants, and PR agencies.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in public affairs, technology policy, infrastructure development, or related fields.
Expertise in political communication and complex stakeholder management.
Familiarity with large scale infrastructure projects and project management.
State and local community engagement experience.
Ability to travel 30% or more to active sites or as needed for projects.
