About the Role
This role exists to ensure each Fluidstack office runs smoothly, consistently, and with a high bar for employee experience. You will own the day-to-day experience of your Fluidstack office, from how the space looks and functions to the small details that make a workplace feel genuinely cared for. This role is hands-on and high-ownership, requiring you to identify, own, and solve problems proactively.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day experience of your office, ensuring nothing about the space slows anyone down.
- Replace ad hoc coordination with a consistent bar for workplace experience across all Fluidstack offices.
- See it, own it, solve it: handle broken monitors, improve lunch options, and address other workplace issues.
- Complete onboarding and learn Fluidstack’s workplace standards, vendor landscape, and office-specific context.
- Shadow the current setup or audit from scratch, assessing space layout, recurring issues, vendor performance, and employee sentiment.
- Build relationships with building management, key vendors, and your local team.
- Identify and deliver quick wins that improve the daily office experience.
- Own all vendor relationships for your office, holding them to agreed standards.
- Implement shared workplace standards, adapted for your location.
- Run a feedback loop with employees to understand what’s working and what isn’t.
- Manage your office’s operational budget with clear tracking.
- Ensure your office runs smoothly and consistently, with employees trusting the space is well-maintained.
- Act as the first point of escalation for workplace issues, resolving problems quickly or escalating with clear context.
- Establish a clear operating rhythm: weekly vendor check-ins, monthly budget reviews, quarterly planning.
- Proactively surface issues and proposed solutions.
Requirements
- A love of details and noticing things most people don’t.
- Kindness and warmth in daily interactions.
- A hospitality mindset, focusing on experience.
- Clarity, approachability, and precision in communication, especially when issues arise.
- Experience running an office or workspace.
- Pride in making a workplace a place people enjoy being.
- Ability to manage vendors and service providers with clear expectations and performance tracking.
- Organization and self-direction.
- Experience managing spaces, logistics, or operations in any context (hospitality, events, coworking, retail) is valued.
- Care about details, even the unseen parts.
- Care about the human element, considering the person using the space.
- Enjoy solving problems before they are noticed.
- Desire to make something great, like a well-run office.
- Experience managing office openings, buildouts, or relocations is a plus.
- Familiarity with workplace technology (access systems, desk booking, AV) is a plus.
