About the Role
This role requires an individual who can bridge the gap between design and frontend development, owning the entire product UI lifecycle from conception to iteration. The focus is on creating seamless and transparent user experiences for property management workflows, leveraging AI and a deep understanding of both the interface and the underlying system.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and shipping product UI end-to-end, from early ideas to rollout and iteration.
- Owning the visual and interaction quality of the product: spacing, typography, motion, hierarchy, and setting the bar for how Buena looks and feels.
- Translating dense operational workflows (accounting, contracts, maintenance, owner communication) into simple, reliable, AI-enabled interfaces.
- Building in code, prototyping fast, and iterating based on property manager feedback.
- Helping to shape design and frontend culture, including design systems, component standards, and workflow optimizations.
Requirements
- Experience designing and building production web UI end-to-end, comfortable owning surfaces from idea through deployment and iteration.
- Proficiency in TypeScript with strong experience in React/Next.js and modern CSS.
- A sharp, opinionated eye for design with attention to detail.
- Comfort with backend technologies (Node.js, GraphQL, Postgres) to integrate frontend needs.
- A strong sense of ownership, ability to move quickly, and comfort making decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Enjoyment of working onsite 5 days a week.
