About the Role

Vast.ai is seeking a Technical Product Manager to drive the product at the heart of our two-sided GPU cloud marketplace, focusing on GPU listing, pricing, discovery, rental, and trust. The role involves identifying high-impact problems, creating specifications, and managing product launches, with initial focus areas in search & discovery, reliability & trust, onboarding & activation, and launch & enablement.

Responsibilities

Find the highest-impact problems in the marketplace.
Turn problems into crisp specifications.
Drive product development through engineering.
Own metrics such as time-to-first-rental, rental reliability, and revenue retention.
Improve search & discovery to help customers find the right GPU at the right price.
Provide hosts with tools to price and position supply.
Enhance reliability & trust to ensure seamless rentals and provide hosts with verification signals.
Streamline onboarding & activation for new customers and hosts.
Manage launch & enablement, including release communications and documentation.
Ensure support, sales, and marketing alignment for product releases.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a product manager, preferably for a highly technical or developer-centric product.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: software infrastructure, developer tooling (APIs, SDKs, CLIs), AI/ML, cloud computing, GPUs, or two-sided marketplaces.
Experience at a fast-paced startup or rapid growth team.
AI-native understanding and daily use of AI agents.
Deep technical understanding of infrastructure, including Linux, Docker, VRAM, and APIs.
Marketplace-minded approach, reasoning about liquidity, incentives, and trust.
Biased toward action and shipping solutions quickly.
