About the Role
The Data Science Analyst will partner with the eBay Advertising Product team to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and scalable analytics tools. This role focuses on driving business performance, identifying growth opportunities, and influencing product strategy through data-informed recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to shape priorities and inform advertising strategy.
- Build and maintain scalable reporting and self-service analytics solutions.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Apply hypothesis-driven problem solving to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Conduct performance deep-dives and experimentation analyses, including A/B testing.
- Evolve analytics frameworks and measurement approaches to improve decision quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical skills in SQL and either Python or R.
- Experience working with large datasets and building efficient analytical solutions.
- Solid foundation in descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing and basic modeling.
- Ability to break down complex, unstructured problems into analytical approaches.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- $108,800 - $145,200 (San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro, Seattle Metro)
- $70,000 - $125,000 (All other U.S. locations)
