About the Role

CACI is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support a program focused on combating evolving threats, advancing operational rehearsal, and developing counter systems. This role contributes to the U.S. and allies' ability to develop and apply models and simulations for military and commercial technologies, ensuring Warfighter readiness and future capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supports engineering and technical services for system-of-systems (SoS) systems engineering, Live Virtual Constructive (LVC), Modeling & Simulation (M&S), and multi-domain operations.
  • Provides aerospace or industrial engineering support throughout the life cycle for aviation, ground, missile, space, sea, and soldier weapon systems, programs, and projects.
  • Performs engineering duties in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, and related systems.
  • Supports basic and applied research to evaluate material and equipment adaptability for aircraft design and manufacture.
  • Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.
  • Supports systems engineering activities including requirements definition and analysis, architecture development, design synthesis, and integration.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and products.
  • Supports verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) of solutions for DEVCOM and DoD customers.
  • Participates in engineering-related technical reviews, exercise support, field tests, and budget reviews.
  • Assists with trade studies and technical analysis to support system development.
  • Supports Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) modeling and simulation activities.
  • Contributes to the development of technical documentation and engineering products using MBSE methods and tools.
  • Supports multi-domain operations and integration/experimentation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field including: Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Astronautical Engineering, Industrial, Environmental, Architectural, or Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Architecture, Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences.
  • Three (3) years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with DoD systems engineering processes and standards (IEEE 15288, 15288.1, 15288.2).
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM).
  • Experience with aviation, ground, missile, space, or weapon systems.
  • Understanding of LVC simulation environments.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with Army or DoD facilities and operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
