About the Role
The CRE Liquidity & Deposit Solutions Market Lead is a senior, client-facing role responsible for serving as the subject matter expert and strategic connector for CIBC's CRE deposit portfolio. This role aims to deepen depository relationships, develop new business, and drive coordinated client solutions by working with Client Managers and Treasury Management Advisors.
Responsibilities
- Lead prospecting and business development efforts targeting deposit-intensive CRE segments.
- Protect, deepen, and expand CIBC's depository relationships across the CRE portfolio.
- Provide client-specific context and subject matter expertise to enable CRE client-facing teams to tailor deposit and treasury solutions.
- Gather and synthesize client feedback on product and technology capabilities and advocate for enhancements.
- Conduct ongoing portfolio analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and deliver executive-level recommendations.
Requirements
- 15+ years of client-facing commercial banking experience, with a significant portion focused on deposit-intensive CRE segments.
- Direct, client-facing relationship management experience in deposit-intensive CRE segments (e.g., 1031 Exchange, EB-5, Brokerage escrow, Rental Property Management, Mortgage Servicing).
- Demonstrated experience building or launching a specialty deposit practice in these segments, including program strategy, business development, and growth execution.
- Demonstrated track record of deposit growth where commercial deposit gathering was a primary performance metric.
- Proven ability to independently prospect, develop, and close new deposit relationships.
- Working familiarity with Treasury Management products and client requirements.
- Experience collaborating across multiple internal teams (operations, product, treasury management, credit) to deliver coordinated client solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; completion of a recognized commercial banking or lending program is a plus.
- Professional proficiency in English required; bilingual capability is a plus.
- Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location(s).
- May be asked to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests.
