About the Role
The Members Events Manager is responsible for planning, programming, and executing all member events at a Soho House location, aligning with the Head of Member Events for North America's strategy. This role focuses on creating innovative, tailored events that reflect the House's identity and membership profile, driving engagement and satisfaction while managing the event budget and tracking performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic events plan aligned with House Identity Plans and membership profiles.
- Create a quarterly calendar of diverse and innovative events.
- Plan, produce, and execute a wide range of member events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale House Parties.
- Oversee all aspects of event production, including vendor coordination, logistics, and creative development.
- Be present at key events, delegating as necessary.
- Fulfill partnership requirements and manage budget spend on Tier 2 events.
- Curate events that inspire and connect members through storytelling, creative experiences, and talent bookings.
- Provide members with engagement opportunities and encourage member-led initiatives.
- Manage relationships with members who run or wish to run events.
- Collaborate with Regional Director, General Manager, Membership, Operations, and other internal departments.
- Act as the key liaison between the House and external vendors, artists, and creatives.
- Track and report on event success using KPIs and metrics.
- Use feedback to optimize programming and ensure events remain relevant.
- Manage the full event budget for the House.
- Oversee and manage the performance of one Event Coordinator.
- Delegate event responsibilities appropriately.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and conduct performance reviews for the Event Coordinator.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the local creative community.
- Build a robust database of local talent, vendors, and creatives.
- Support broader Soho House initiatives and contribute to global events when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning, production, and strategy, preferably in a hospitality or creative industry.
- Strong understanding of local creative communities, cultural trends, and event production.
- Demonstrated ability to create, curate, and execute memorable events that align with brand identity and community values.
- Experience managing event budgets and tracking financial performance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across various teams and departments.
- Passionate about Soho House’s vision and community-driven events.
