About the Role
This is a property-based leadership role, embedded within the hotel and integral to both day-to-day execution and long-term strategic success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial strategy, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead teams toward achieving revenue growth and sustained business success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of commercial and revenue strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability for the property.
- Collaborate closely with property-level teams, including the General Manager, sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to align commercial strategies with the hotel’s overall business objectives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), market trends, and competitor pricing to identify opportunities and optimize strategies.
- Utilize demand forecasting, booking trends, and historical data to optimize pricing, inventory allocation, and distribution channels.
- Oversee the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives that complement revenue management goals and enhance the hotel's market position.
- Establish and maintain relationships with distribution partners, OTAs, GDS, and other key channels to maximize visibility and revenue potential.
- Develop strategies for group bookings, corporate accounts, and other key revenue-generating segments in collaboration with the property team.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging best practices to continuously refine strategies and drive performance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the property’s commercial team, ensuring alignment with revenue and business objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in revenue management or commercial strategy within the hospitality industry, with strong leadership capabilities is required.
- Hotel revenue management experience in New York is required.
- Proficiency with revenue management systems (e.g., IDeaS), Opera/Opera Cloud, SynXis, and CRM tools is required.
- Experience managing revenue strategy for an independent or boutique hotel is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strategic mindset focused on revenue growth, market share, and profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the ability to lead change initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of revenue management principles and hospitality industry best practices.
- Experience working in an environment that partners with a management company, asset management, and ownership teams.
- Multilingual proficiency relevant to the property's target market.
