About the Role
FAN EXPO HQ is seeking a passionate individual to lead and shape assigned shows, driving innovation, strategic planning, and operational excellence to deliver world-class events and the ultimate fan experience.
Responsibilities
- Position and elevate assigned shows to maintain their place as flagship events in their regions.
- Pitch new show features, partnerships, and activations that drive excitement and ticket sales.
- Create and execute strategic plans to exceed revenue targets.
- Analyze event performance and collaborate with departments to develop action-oriented proposals for enhancing future shows.
- Spearhead the development of high-impact marketing campaigns and exclusive content to drive ticket sales and fan engagement.
- Manage all aspects of event readiness with dedicated, shared, and seasonal service teams.
- Drive event timelines and coordinate shared services to keep projects on track.
- Maintain strong relationships with venues, hotels, sponsors, and exhibitors.
- Research and secure top-notch suppliers while optimizing costs and maintaining high-quality service.
- Take full ownership of event budgets, delivering impactful shows within approved financial scopes.
- Travel as needed to lead onsite event management, ensuring a seamless experience for fans and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing large P&L budgets, driving revenue growth, and developing business strategies for dynamic, high-impact events.
- Demonstrated expertise in long-term planning, innovation, and executing complex projects to successful outcomes.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative, commercial mindset with a drive for pitching new ideas and implementing changes that elevate the fan experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
- Ability to work remotely during planning and to work evenings/weekends during event dates.
- Flexibility to travel 4-5 times annually within Canada and the US; valid passport required.
