About the Role
MongoDB is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our global Corporate FP&A team. This role is critical in shaping and managing the global forecasting and planning process, working closely with senior finance leadership. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, communicates clearly, juggles multiple priorities, and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Responsibilities
- Modernize and automate forecasting and planning tools in partnership with IT, People, and Finance teams.
- Define requirements and implement solutions for FP&A, improving the Pigment financial planning system.
- Supercharge and standardize AI usage across the FP&A team.
- Manage the company’s planning process/calendar and corporate-level forecast consolidation.
- Own the planning calendar, communicating timelines, deliverables, and expectations to stakeholders.
- Oversee the forecast reconciliation process to monitor business performance.
- Develop reporting to summarize data and facilitate decision-making for senior management.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and associates.
- Partner with departments to drive operational efficiencies within cross-functional teams’ processes and systems.
- Forecast global budget items such as payroll taxes, benefits, and allocations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or economics; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or other finance functions.
- Expertise in financial modeling, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Pigment.
- Highly organized with a strong ability to make sense of complex data.
- Technically competent and curious, with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Ability to build lightweight connectivity, such as gsheet plug-ins.
- Highly articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage challenging stakeholders with varying incentives and needs.
- Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Excited by problem-solving and collaborating with team members to find answers.
- Creative thinking, high drive, and skill in creating structure in uncertain or ambiguous situations.
- Strong project management skills, with attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent follow-through.
- Process-oriented with a skill for creating structure and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
