About the Role
The Olympic Club is seeking a part-time Tennis Shop Attendant with outstanding guest service skills and a passion for tennis. This role is the primary guest service representative in the Tennis Shop, responsible for warmly greeting members and guests and assisting them with retail purchases.
Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests courteously and provide exceptional 5-star guest service.
- Organize and facilitate tennis play for members.
- Arrange matches, scheduling, organizing league play, and facilitating mixers and tournaments.
- Operate a point-of-sale system for merchandise and rental purchases.
- Respond to inquiries, course conditions, and special member events via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain the appearance of the Tennis Shop through tidying and dusting.
- Assist with monthly inventory and order supplies.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience as a customer/guest service representative in a retail and/or hospitality environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude and resolve concerns.
- Professional work ethic, including punctuality, reliability, and trustworthiness.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions and procedures.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience using a POS system.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach over shoulder/head and outward.
