About the Role

Simply Set is seeking a Team Lead to build and oversee a team of Merchandisers who will deliver specialized merchandising services for Walmart. This role involves extensive training on live goods care and guiding the team in supporting retail associates to effectively manage garden centers and engage with customers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, and train Seasonal Merchandisers.
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day workflow and operations of the market.
• Administer employee discipline and terminations.
• Oversee one assigned market consisting of 7-12 stores.
• Interview, hire, and train merchandisers for all assigned stores.
• Train and support the team to execute retail merchandising tasks, including product placement, displays, and signage.
• Train store associates on proper watering practices.
• Implement assigned retail schematics and merchandising materials.
• Ensure all merchandising meets Walmart's established standards.
• Train retail staff to complete scheduled tasks.
• Capture before-and-after photos of displays and submit them to the Regional Manager.
• Consistently meet company and client objectives.
• Clock in and out using Volt and Chronotek for each store visit.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with store management, associates, and suppliers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Strictly adhere to the assigned weekly labor hour budget.
• Visit each assigned store on a weekly basis.
• Work regularly alongside merchandisers in-store.
• Upload only approved specification photos to OneDrive.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the Regional Manager via email, text and phone.
• Report any issues or concerns to the Regional Manager immediately.
• Submit weekly schedules for yourself and merchandisers to the Regional Manager by Friday evening of the prior week.
• Communicate any schedule changes promptly.
• Work Saturday hours from April through October.
• Work holiday hours during peak season.
• Obtain approval for all time-off requests from the Regional Manager.

Requirements

• Must own and be able to use a smartphone.
• Must possess a smart phone.
• Completion of Scintilla In-Store certification required prior to start date.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation required.
