About the Role

Change Grow Live is seeking an experienced Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join their Barnet service. This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care to service users with complex health and substance use challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, interventions, and care for service users.
  • Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, adhering to evidence-based practice and protocols.
  • Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately in complex, urgent, or emergency situations.
  • Assess, update, and refer service users for BBV vaccination and immunization programs.
  • Support service users in adopting health promotion strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with service users and carers, addressing communication barriers.
  • Maintain effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of consultations.
  • Assess the effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review and participate in the appraisal system.

Requirements

  • Qualified pharmacist with current GPhC registration and two years’ post-qualification experience OR First level registered nurse with a current PIN AND three years post-qualification experience.
  • Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • At least one year’s relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment.
  • Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
  • Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to demonstrate easy movement between services.
  • This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.

Salary/Compensations

  • £48,987.04 - £54,663.24 (CGL points 43 to 48)
  • Outer London Weighting £2,250.61
