About the Role

Inspire learning, build confidence, and change children’s lives by providing expert tuition and innovative learning tools. Tutors act as coaches and mentors, supporting each learner’s progress with care and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored sessions using the Compass learning tool, facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching.
• Build meaningful relationships with children in a 1:6 ratio, creating a safe and inspiring environment.
• Support members with national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating their milestones.
• Lead sessions with small groups, inspiring children to engage in learning.
• Utilize positive behaviour management strategies.
• Prioritize children's safety and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Must be age 16 or over.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Accepting predicted GCSE grades if results will be received within the next 3 months.
• Provide a full employment history with all gaps clearly explained and evidenced.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required.
• Satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check are required.
• Must share commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

• 18-20: £10.90 per hour

• Additional 50p per hour for working inside the M25
