About the Role
Production Managers play a pivotal role at Echo House, bridging the Project Team and Production Departments. This Senior Production Manager position involves supporting the Production Team Manager, observing and resolving department-wide risks, and ensuring the cohesive workflow of all works from the Project Team to the Studio and Production, delivering to brand specification, on time and on budget. Echo operates with a hybrid workflow approach, combining Waterfall and Agile methods, requiring team members to be proficient in both.
Responsibilities
- Operating with integrity and performing complete work for colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
- Ensuring Echo House maintains its status as an industry-leading team.
- Working closely with the Project Team to plan and drive project timelines.
- Advising on suitable materials and production techniques, considering sustainability, brand nuances, and budgets.
- Collaborating closely with the Project Team to ensure Works Orders are accurate and appropriate.
- Initiating and playing an active role in preliminary project and production kick-off meetings.
- Initiating wrap-up meetings with relevant individuals and departments.
- Being a standard bearer for the production management team and the print factory.
- Collaborating with the Production Team Manager and Directors on problem-solving.
- Attending and actively participating in Best Practice meetings, EchoLabs©, and Production Management Meetings.
- Collaborating with all production departments to ensure client expectations are fulfilled.
- Monitoring production capacity and communicating effectively.
- Actively collaborating with the Print Production Resource Manager to monitor and develop best practice.
- Reviewing and maintaining Monday.com, including the assessment and education of Works Orders.
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering sufficient supplies.
- Collaborating with the Project Team to brief the Design & Studio Teams on specific jobs & projects.
- Communicating with all Echo House teams, ensuring job specifics and brand identities are fulfilled.
- Operating as the key Quality Control officer for all works and holding the Echo Standard for the wider team.
- Being the final point of control for works or providing an effective handover.
- Working with the Packing and Logistics Team to ensure items are packed correctly and spreadsheets are provided clearly.
- Working with installation teams to support communication and ensure efficient handover.
- Working with the junior Production Admin to ensure items are ready for the install team.
- Supporting the planning for distribution to the installation network and arranging logistics.
- Ensuring projects are run with maximum efficiency regarding lead times, material selection, quality control, and wastage.
- Working on additional bespoke projects outside of daily duties to encourage and broaden individual skills.
- Performing other reasonable tasks as required by Directors or department heads.
- Following and promoting all health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Following Echo’s sustainability policies and procedures and promoting sustainable operations.
Requirements
- Experience in the graphics and creative production industry.
- Ability to clearly communicate instructions to a team.
- Good Excel and MS Office knowledge and practical experience.
